Why Us

DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER OF GENESIS WORLD SCHOOL

SNEHA MUKHERJEE

Learning for young children, particularly those aged 3 to 6 years, should be 'developmentally appropriate', aligning with their age and developmental stage. In a classroom, children vary in age; some maybe 3.9 years old, while others have just turned 3. Despite these differences, we often provide them with the same activities and assessments!

A key element of brain development is communication. Talking to children not only enhances their language skills but also helps build bonds, boosting self-esteem and confidence in learning.

Unfortunately, we often 'interrogate' or 'instruct' children rather than engage in meaningful conversations. It's time to shift from close-ended questions to open-ended ones that encourage dialogue, which is essential for brain development.

Open-ended questions are enquiries that do not have single, definitive answers. They foster critical and creative thinking in children while enhancing their problem-solving abilities.

At GENESIS WORLD SCHOOL SERAMPORE, we endeavor to provide our children an environment where they may go beyond learning what is simply prescribed by the syllabus. The result will be well developed individuals who can get along with a cosmopolitan crowd and in an ever changing world.

Education is a tool which can help us to bring about the changes that we wish to see in the world. Every child comes with the message that God is not yet discouraged of man. We want to create a generation of learners who can think independently and can adjust and adopt to an ever changing environment.
We have to remember that our children belong to a different era. We do not know what the future holds for them. The best we can do for them is to prepare them for anything that life might throw at them

Message from Principal

Jayati Chatterjee

We at Genesis World School Serampore consciously try to move away from rote learning. We try to arouse the innate curiosity and creativity in every child. We know that EVERY CHILD is capable of achieving the best of his/her own potential - provided a conducive environment is given.
We create situation where our students have to think. We know that every Genesis student will create a niche for himself or herself and will make us all proud. We want all our students to be able to spread their wings wide and fly high while adhering to the Genesis philosophy, in every aspect of life.

Madhurima Banerjee, Centre Head-Unit 2

As the Centre Head of the school, I feel privileged to be part of an Educational Institution where every stakeholder is a learner and every day is an opportunity to discover new things.
I believe in upholding high standards with an absolute commitment to strive to understand and improve the educational process, using team strategies, while wholly concentrating on student achievement. Measures initiated by the Respected Principal madam, Hon. Director madam, the willing contribution of the teaching and non-teaching staff and overwhelming response and enthusiastic participation of my dear students in the school activities in the recent past all vouch for this. When all the constituents come together and work in unison, the expected results are bound to flow.

With advancement of technology, man himself is becoming a machine. The reason behind this is that he is spending more time with machines rather than with human beings. Emotions, feelings, values and manners are disappearing day by day. In this context, teaching values in schools is a real challenge for the teachers. What we aim in our school is a noble value exhortation which formed the core of the ancient educational system that produced the great scientists, ruler and honest men and women.
I am happy to tell you that our Genesis World School Serampore has proceeded to achieve their motto. So, come on, lets us shape your dreams in this Institution a modern temple of learning through our diligence, devotion and dedication. Wishing you all the best... !
With best wishes and blessing for the upcoming session.
